Wiki Shared Resource
We have been working on a way to share resources that the ITS Community is creating in isolation within their district. We are using wiki software to create a place to share our combined knowledge for use by teachers and educators within our districts. At this time we are in the pilot phase of this project.
We would like all of you to create an account and help us create this resource for all of our teachers. The link can be found at http://wiki.monroe.edu. We have started this by simply providing the handouts from our staff development classes, but would like to eventually see this become a resource for best practices, when using integrating technology in the classroom. One of the benefits to this is that you don't have to recreate resources that you have already put on the web, but you can link them within the wiki.
There are a few things that we are going to be changing slightly for our application of this project, such as making it a requirement for people to login to edit pages, blocking spam, and blocking key words. At this point in time they are not installed, but our goal is to have this done before February break.
Feel free to contribute to the wiki and share it as a resource with your teachers. If teachers would like to contribute they will need to create an account, but if they simply want to use the resource they can search the wiki or use the index that we have created.
